Organised Skill Development Camp (Grocery Store)

    22nd to 23rd May 2017

    A skill development camp for disabled people on Grocery store was organisedfom 22nd to 23rd May 2017 in the campus of Department of social Justice& Empowerment (DoSJ&E), Chittorgarh. Total 30 disabled people (22 Male & 08 Female including 2 visually impaired & 01 low vision) from Nimbahera and Chittorgarh attended the training.

    The objectives of the training are –

  • To learn about retail and types of retail outlets
  • Understanding on identification of customer and behavior with customer
  • Good understanding on supply chain in the market and its strategy
  • To learn marketing strategies for merchandising promotion
  • Understanding on retail mechanism and modern types of marketing
  • Knowledge about Financial management for grocery store.
  • The training was started by Kamleshsharma (block Incharge) with facilitating introduction session and shared the objectives of the training among the beneficiaries. KamleshJangid (DPM) facilitated the session on the understanding of Retail and types of retail. He also discussed on the chain of the merchandise i.e. manufacturer, wholesaler, distributer & retailer orientating them on departmental store, super market, kirana store, specialty store, and online trading etc.

    Kamlesh Sharma (Block Incharge) took the session on how to understand our customer and behavior with the customer and also facilitated on what preparations should be done before opening a grocery store with playing a short videos. Mr Anwar Ahmad Khan (Resource person from Kota) shared about the government schemes for getting loan/subsidy of ZilaUdhyog Kendra to run a shop distributing IEC materials and also facilitated a session on the methods of measurements. He also discussed on the mixing in the materials in detail.

    Mr OP Toshniwal (Assistant Director -DoSJ&E) talked with the participants directly about their benefits from government welfare schemes and some issues were resolved at spot and he also requested to the participants to learn more and more knowledge from this training and start their livelihood successfully.
