National Girl Child Day celebrated at Chittorgarh on 24 Jan 2017 for creating awareness about the inequalities faced by the girl child in society, here we have discussed about the take the pride in daughters and oppose the mindset related to Parayadhan, find ways to promote equality between boys and girls, secure admission and retention of girl child in schools, engage men and boys to challenge gender stereotypes and roles, oppose dowry and child marriages, advocate simple marriages, shared some success women stories, Here 95 children including their school teachers, panchayat secretary and sarpanch and CHD team were the participants and taken inititiave to work towards ensuring that girls are born, love and nurtured and grow up to become empowered citizens of the county with equal rights and opportunities, GauharMahmood, Mohan LalMeghwal, Shanti LalDangiwere the main speaker of the Chittorgarh event whereas in BhilwaraRadheyVaishnav, NirmalaPurohi, Vinita Vaishnav were observed event at Government Secondary School Shastri Nagar, Bhilwara.

During the event, Centre for Human Development and Social Activists asked to offer more supports and new opportunities to the girls in the district and said the event will increase the awareness among people about all the inequalities faced by the girl child in the society includes many areas like inequality in education, nutrition, legal rights, medical care, protection, honour, child marriage, about 150 girls students, teachers were participated in Bhilwara event

In concerned of this events a Workshop on Udaan and SarthiProgramm was held on 23 January 2017 in Sainik School Chittorgarh organised jointly by District Administration, Chief Medical &Health Office and District Education Office under the able initiative by Mr.Inderjeet Singh, District Collector Chittorgarh. He launched two programmes in presence of Mr ShrichandKriplani, Minister of Local Self Governance and Urban Development, Mr.PrasannKhamesera SP, Mr Suresh Chand ADM, Mr CP Joshi MP Chittorgarh, MLAs Chittorgarh and Bengu, CEO District Council, SDMs from all blocks, BEOs, DLOs, NGOs, Social Activists and Educate Girls (Nodal Agency, NGO) total over 200 associates were participated. During the Workshop the Educate Girls, an NGO explained about the Udaan project, said the project is an innovation to empower and motivate girls to access education, retain dropouts girls and recognise girls make a long lasting impact on the quality of life of their families and communities.

The District administration officials asked to each participants for their contribution in ensuring 100% enrolment of girls in schools by 2019. The various speakers expressed educating girls may perhaps be the only way to put an end to the seemingly never-ending cycle of issues like dropout, low attendance, and low age of marriage and low status of women.

In Sarthi programme, CMHO explained the programme will equal discussion and orientation on health, hygiene, menstruation and related physiological knowledge which are not being covered as part of the regular curriculum, aged 8-19 years and in so doing reduce the high levels of absenteeism among girls and will improve their health consciousness.
