Launched a Road Safety Campaign in Rural and Urban Areas
Road Safety campaign was launched jointly with the district administration and CUTS on 29th April 2003. Under the campaign reflectors will be installed on tractor trolleys, cart etc. It was realized that some of these vehicles having no reflectors on their backside are responsible for road accidents and there is need to install the reflectors not only in urban areas but also in rural area. The district administration had given the responsibility to CUTS in this regard during February 2003 through the people participation. To perform the responsibility amount of Rs. 25,000/ was donated to CUTS through people contribution.
